2000's
  • 2007: The launch of Gelli Baff. The first box of Gelli Baff was sold into the UK market in January 2007. Zimpli Kids is proud to have had the same initial selection available in multiple UK retailers now for over 10 years. In this 10+ year period, the worldwide sales are over 30 million units of Gelli Baff and 20 million units of Slime Baff, all using the exact same trusted patent protected formulation.
2010's
  • 2013: The launch of Slime Baff.
  • 2014: Simba Toys launches Gelli Baff under the name of Glibbi in Germany.
  • 2015: The birth of Zimpli Kids. Beginning of a worldwide YouTube campaign, after just 2 months 80 million views worldwide. At this point, Zimpli Kids had under 10 members of staff and worked from a small Sales and Marketing office.
  • 2016: The Gelli Baff and Slime Baff YouTube campaign hit 1 billion views in August.
  • 2017: Moved into a larger premise and started manufacturing and dispatching UK orders. Simba Toys became a major shareholder of Zimpli Kids. The YouTube campaign hit 1.4 billion views, 2.5 billion in July and ended the year on 3 billion views in total.
  • 2018: Zimpli Kids had 18 members of staff and moved again to larger premises which allowed to massively increase the own manufacturing capability. Investment into new infrastructure and machinery which has enabled to manufacture 100% of products UK based, recently IS0 9001 accredited manufacturing plant. Zimpli Kids started the switch to eco-friendly packaging and joined the OPRL (On Pack Recycling Label) Scheme.
  • 2019: The YouTube campaign currently has over 6 billion views. Zimpli Kids has now over 50 members of staff and has secured distribution in over 50 countries across the globe.
2020's
  • 2020: Gained ISO14001 certification, the coveted environmental certification that is awarded to companies who prove that they minimise how their operations negatively affect the environment.
  • 2021: Invested in machinery, to start in-house production of Baff Bombz.
  • 2023: Change of leadership, CEO Paul Jackson retiring and Managing Director Eejay Enyi taking over. TikTok viral success with millions of views on Baff Bombz Magic Brush.
  • 2024: Moved to larger premises in Great Harwood.

Zimpli Kids takes the safety of all products exceptionally seriously and this is evident in not only how thoroughly the products are tested, but also in the choice to manufacture over 90% of the products in their UK based ISO9001, ISO14001 and SMETA accredited factory. Zimpli Kids is proud to be the manufacturers of the first ever toys (Gelli Baff and Slime Baff), to be accredited as skin safe, by one of the UK’s most respected charities, the British Skin Foundation (BSF); who are the UK’s leading skin disease research charity.
